The curtains didn’t shut fully, so too much light came into the room in the morning. Room service came every three days, but the cleaning was very poor. They emptied and cleaned the bins, then handled the clean towels with the same hands, without washing or changing gloves. They threw the duvet on the floor, where it got trampled by their shoes. Disgusting. Even three-star motels have better cleanliness. I’d be better off staying elsewhere. The rooms themselves were okay, but ours didn’t have a smart TV. I didn’t realize we had to request one when booking, especially in such a new facility. Even after asking, they couldn’t move us to a room with one. They offered an upgrade for $25 per night. We’d booked 8 nights and were happy with our already quite large room, so didn’t want to pay for a different room type.

Good value, clean apartments in a great location, with what you need for one or a few nights. Being dog friendly is a big bonus for me, and I loved the bed and pillows. Thanks, I’ll stay again whenever I’m in the area! 😊

Room 111 was very quiet, clean, and modern. The California king was generous in size, firm but comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The shower had excellent pressure. Check-in and check-out were easy, and there’s plenty of off-street parking, though it isn’t secure. A small cafe next door does breakfast. A couple of things could be better. The curtains let some light in from the main foyer window facing the room, and there was no view. The only window that opened was right above the kitchen outlet vent, so opening it brought in fish and frying smells. At this price, I’d expect proper coffee bags, a plunger with coffee, or a Nespresso-style machine. Still, it was very adequate for an overnight stay in the Albany area.

Everything felt well organized, and the atmosphere was pleasant. My room at Marsden Suite was clean, tidy, and well maintained, which made for a comfortable, relaxing stay. I’d happily recommend it to anyone after a clean and comfortable place to stay.
