We were so pleased to book with Edelweiss again. We’d stayed before and appreciated how helpful the service was and how clean the rooms were, and our second visit lived up to that. The rooms are always tidy, the beds very comfortable, and each room has excellent wifi and screening options. We also had access to the heated pool, spa and a very accommodating BBQ area. The staff are welcoming and exceptionally helpful. Nothing seemed to be a hassle for them. The motel is a quick stroll from Paihia centre and the beachfront, which made it just right for our family’s break from Auckland. We’re already looking forward to planning another stay at Edelweiss.

The rooms were clean, and the pool and spa were awesome. Customer service was exceptional. There isn’t much kitchen gear, so bring extra from home if you’re planning to do more cooking.

The rooms were simple but suited us fine, and we enjoyed the location and pool. The owners were kind and so helpful, doing their best to look after their guests. We hope to come back one day.

The room had cockroaches, which was unpleasant. We’d booked specifically for the heated pool so my child could swim, but it was closed because of the cyclone, even though the cyclone hadn’t arrived yet. That was a bummer. Otherwise, it would’ve been a good stay for us.

It’s an easy walk to Paihia town centre, and the rooms are always nice and clean, making for a comfortable, relaxing base. I’ve stayed at Edelweiss Motel several times and found the quality consistent on each visit. The staff have been fantastic every time, friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Highly recommend for a visit to the Bay of Islands.
