Thanks, Fred and Karen, for making the stay feel like home. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, plus more. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with those beautiful views. Cross the bridge and you’re at cafes, restaurants and gift stores.

From The Boathouse, it’s easy to reach the pier, tours and restaurants over the boardwalk and bridge, and there are lovely harbour views. The apartment was spacious, clean and full of interesting decor. Our host was easy to reach throughout the stay and very helpful with advice. It was great to be met in person and given such useful information. We loved our stay.

Fred and Karen welcomed us so warmly. After five weeks travelling the South Island, we appreciated having room to spread out, and the apartment was beautifully fitted out. It felt luxurious, with the best shower and bed we’d had on the trip. The marina location was perfect, with an easy walk into town and to the walking tracks. We’d definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend it.

We booked the whole apartment for seven, and it was spacious, very well designed and well maintained. The living room looks out over a great landscape, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The property and location were both great, and dealing with the owners and property manager was easy.

Fred, our host, recommended Oxleys for dinner, and we definitely suggest giving it a try. The location is idyllic, close enough to walk around and see the sights, and the accommodation felt like a little piece of paradise. The hosts were fantastic. We can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back.
