Blue Peaks Apartments

The road noise was awful, late into the night and very early in the morning. There was no curtain on the door-side window, so the light from the outside veranda walkway kept me awake for half the night. Very expensive for what you get. I won't stay again.

A really nice way to begin a trip around New Zealand. The apartments are modern, new, and very good.

The shower has a movable head, which was much appreciated. The location is handy for shops and the bus stops for the Remarkables, but finding the place was a real struggle. We spent an hour searching. Marking the units outside the 600s on the map too would make it a lot easier.

We spent half an hour trying to find our room after reception had closed and we collected the key. We were given a map showing only the 600s. The road labels seemed to put us on the wrong side, and there was no Blue Peaks sign on Sydney St. The reception signage was confusing too. Our room was indeed across the road, but it was tucked underneath the rooms we were looking at, which made it harder to spot. During the night, the hallway fire alarm fell off, and nobody answered when we called. We also had to phone for help with the dishwasher because there was no appliance guide. Hot water was short as the shower and washing machine use the same supply.
