Hulbert House

What made our honeymoon evenings especially memorable was winding down with a nightcap by the fireplace in the common room after a day exploring. We still talk about our stay at the Hulbert House months later, and we're already thinking about coming back to New Zealand for our tenth anniversary. Meeting Chris & Tav, their dog, and Yuikio was part of what made the trip so special. They and the rest of the staff were kind and helpful throughout. The place feels tucked away enough to enjoy the grounds and facilities peacefully, yet it's only a short walk into central Queenstown. There are plenty of activities, tours, and trips around the adventure capital of New Zealand. Our room was beautiful and memorable, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the service was top-notch. We also appreciated the chocolates, welcome notes, and well wishes for our marriage. The food was exquisite, and the drinks were spectacular. Chris makes a mean Old Fashioned, and my wife loved the French toast at breakfast every morning. We travel often, and nowhere has made us feel more at home. The hospitality and luxury were unmatched. Louisa made our late-night arrival easy, checking us in and helping us get settled. The canapés and breakfast were delicious, and the property itself was exceptional. We had an amazing stay.

Marina, the manager, was a big help when we needed to change our booking. We also took the house bikes out for a ride, which was lovely. The location is stunning, the property is beautiful, and the staff were really friendly and attentive whenever we needed them.

The service is what really made our stay special. The staff were attentive and helpful, always checking that we were doing okay, and even packed breakfast for us when we had to leave at 6am. The room was spacious, with a soft, comfortable bed and a clean, roomy bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. There's A/C and heating depending on the season. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast as well as the canapés and drinks before heading out for dinner. Such an amazing place to stay in Queenstown. If you want to be pampered, stay here!
