Pinewood Lodge

The cabin was neat, with comfortable beds, and the location made it easy to walk into central Queenstown. The gondola was only a five-minute ride away. My only wish is for secure bike storage for the cabins. Leaving expensive bikes outside doesn't feel like an option, but carrying them inside to lock up is a bit of a hassle.

We had the whole two-bedroom apartment D for two nights as a family of four. It was spacious, modern and clean, and the laundry facilities were good. Getting into town took about five minutes on foot, and it was very quiet. Check-in was quick; parking worked for us, though it might be tight with a larger car. The front door still locked, but it didn’t close properly. Great value for money, and I’d recommend the place.

Sleep was pretty much impossible here. The walls are paper-thin, and every door slams loudly. The rooms and bathrooms were also really stuffy, with no decent ventilation. If you don't mind hearing other guests talk and walk around while you're trying to rest, go ahead and book, but bring grade 5 earplugs.

We stayed at Spike 7 at Pinewood Queenstown from 3rd March to 7th March 2026, and it was a really comfortable visit. Everything was clean and well cared for, with spotless rooms, beds that seemed almost new, and things arranged nicely. The kitchen had all the basics for cooking, and the whole lodge felt organized and maintained. Big thanks to the cleaners and housekeeping team for the care they put into the place. I’d happily recommend Pinewood Queenstown to anyone visiting Queenstown.
