Queenstown Village Apartments

The room access code and email didn’t work, so we were stuck for over 30 minutes before having to call for help. It felt completely disorganized, with no accountability from staff. The downstairs bathroom smelled like rotting vomit. The washing machine was ancient and filthy, and leaked during use. The room was unbearably hot, with useless air-conditioning and temperature control, and I couldn’t sleep. The TVs looked like early 2000s Samsung junk, outdated and useless. There were ridiculous rules and conditions everywhere, including being told we couldn’t use extra rubbish bins. It felt like nickel-and-diming guests while providing trash facilities for an absurd price. This should have cost 400, not 840 a night. The bathrooms didn’t even have locks. Complete waste of money, one of the worst places I’ve stayed. Do yourself a favour and avoid it. You’d be better off sleeping anywhere else.

We stayed in April with the kids and liked the apartment and its location. The open-air car park was about 100 metres away, with a short uphill walk to the apartment. It was good value for money overall. The problem was the heat indoors. There’s no air-conditioning, and the apartment stayed hot regardless of the outdoor temperature. We told management, but nothing was done. They only suggested opening the windows, which didn’t help. We felt air-conditioning is a must here.

The curry smell throughout the apartment was so strong that it was hard to breathe. We asked staff if anything could be done to lessen it, but they were shockingly dismissive and said there was no solution. They told us to leave and find somewhere else if we weren't happy. That response was unacceptable, especially in Queenstown. The lack of care and professionalism left us extremely disappointed. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want to be comfortable.

We spent one night in a two-bedroom apartment with my family, and we were all happy with the stay. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the hot shower made things even nicer. We'll choose this place again when we're next in Queenstown. Thank you so much.
