The Lofts Apartments

The location was the best thing about Lofts Apartments. We chose it because it was close to the Queenstown sights we wanted to see, as well as a bus stop, the lakefront, restaurants, and other attractions. We stayed in early January 2026. The condition of our room and the property really overshadowed that convenience. It didn't seem to have had a proper clean in a long time. The bathroom fan had a major buildup, there were several mystery substances on the walls, and the kitchen dishes looked questionable. The toilet seat had brown marks, there were mystery hairs in the shower, and the tile grout was mouldy. The furniture and carpets were stained, and there was a green spot on the ceiling. The one thing that seemed to be done daily was leaving clean towels stacked on the table. Otherwise, the room was in very poor condition. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone staying in Queenstown. It was unacceptable.

We stayed in January 2026, and the three-bedroom apartment was very expensive. The location was excellent, but that was about the only good thing. Parking cost $20 a day, so basically don't rent a car if you stay here. The inside parking area was completely full, and when we stopped at the bus bay for just a minute to unload people, we got a $120 parking fine. One night the curtain fell down, and the street light opposite was so bright that I couldn't sleep. Queenstown was such a nice place, but this was the worst accommodation of all the places we visited.

Handy location, but the place felt pretty run down and needs a good refurb. The bathroom extraction fan couldn't be switched off and kept going until 11pm. It made it really hard to get a good night's sleep.

The room was disgusting. The carpet was wet and soggy, it smelled like puke, and there was old food under the furniture. It was mouldy, some lights didn't work, and the doors wouldn't shut. We had to clean every glass before using it, and all the towels were damp, as if they hadn't been washed. We paid for parking at reception, then got charged again in the car park. We checked out after one night and still haven't been refunded for either the duplicate parking payment or the unused night's accommodation.
