The view was lovely, and the bedrooms were roomy with really comfortable beds. Everything was very clean and tidy, and the location was great.

Mary Lyn and Clark made us feel welcome right away. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean, and Mary Lyn was a wonderful host and cook who made sure we had a great visit.

Our booking was cancelled by the owner just 48 hours before we were due to arrive, over a long weekend when little else was available at short notice. We were in Raglan for a wedding and ended up staying miles away. We had even been in touch with him 72 hours before arrival about checking in a little earlier, so the explanation of a “conflict of bookings” didn't seem believable. I suspect he may have taken a booking through another platform with lower administration fees, though I can't know for sure. I wouldn't trust this owner to honour a booking. This behaviour was atrocious, and one star feels too generous. Avoid.
