Raglan Harbour View Hotel

On my first trip to NZ, I stayed in raglan for the WSL event and went here for a drink and some chips. The service was the worst I've experienced, and the food wasn't great either. After getting my drinks, I waited over half an hour for the chips. When I asked at the bar, they only asked if I'd told them where I was sitting and said I'd get them then. I waited another 15 minutes and asked again. They checked the kitchen, then the same person brought out a cold bowl of chips. I hope they treat customers better in future.

This is a cool place right in the middle of town, where we often stop for food or a drink after a ride. There's seating out front, inside, and at the back, so you can pick what suits your group and comfort. Good range of food and drinks, a nice atmosphere, and friendly staff.

I wanted to say thanks for how professionally and seriously the team handled my daughter's allergy. I emailed Harbour View, they called me back, and I was able to speak with the chef and work out a plan so she could eat there confidently. A lot of places aren't very allergy aware, so many thanks to the team.

My friends and I went before the WSL got busy, and all four of us were unimpressed with the service. The bartenders seemed disorganized and acted like they owned the place. Even pouring a beer was handled badly, and the service was rude and inefficient. I'm from Raglan, and I can see why fewer locals work there. Most of the staff seemed to be from overseas, and the service quality was lacking. It was shocking enough that I made an account just to leave this feedback. They need to improve.
