The Silos Apartments

Denise met us when we arrived and walked us through the apartment, including places to eat in Raglan. We’ve spent four years living on the road in rental apartments, so we’ve seen a wide range, and the Silo Apartments are easily among our top five. The Penthouse was spacious, immaculate, modern and luxurious, yet reasonably priced. Don’t hesitate to book.

Denise was a very friendly hostess, and the town is about a 15-minute walk away, with a good bar and places to eat just a few minutes from the apartment. We stayed in The Penthouse, up 47 steps, and would gladly come back. The room looks out over the sea. Rain filled the view much of the time, but it was fascinating to watch the weather cross the sky; now and then the moon appeared through the clouds and lit the bay, and we even saw fog.

The Grand apartment was out of this world, and Denise was a lovely host. We had a great stay at the Silos, and the pool table was a fun extra. If we return to Raglan, we’ll stay there again.

We loved eating across the road, and couldn’t pass up the much-praised fish from the nearby wharf. The apartment was an unexpected pleasure, and the service was A+. We hadn’t realized how tidal the sea in front of the Silos was, so it was a surprise to see people spearfishing under headlamps just outside when we turned off the lights. Amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
