Kinloch Manor & Villas

We booked Kinloch Manor & Suites for the Ironman World Championships in Taupo because there weren't many options left, so I arrived unsure what to expect. It ended up being one of my most memorable stays. The beautiful surroundings and thoughtfully designed interiors made the property feel like a secluded retreat, with the welcome of a bed-and-breakfast and the polish of a five-star resort. Meals were included, which was a real help during a busy event. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and in the evenings we had canapés and cocktails before a gourmet dinner. The food was exceptional. Giacoma, Kiera, and Josephine deserve a special mention. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel at home while still enjoying the comforts of a world-class resort. Thank you to the whole team for making the trip so special. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Kinloch Manor & Suites for an event or a luxury getaway. It offers a lovely mix of comfort, beautiful surroundings, and personal service, and I'm already looking forward to returning.

The views, villas, and lounge/restaurant were all amazing. We stayed two nights, and both the owner and staff were superb. I'd certainly choose this place again next time I'm in the area.

The accommodation is absolutely stunning, with incredible views. I've been for high tea on Mothers Day a couple of times. It's lovely to dress up and go with friends, and the finger food is delicious and caters for dietary needs.

We had a pleasant stay in a beautiful location, and borrowing the mountain bikes to explore the lakeside cycling trails was a highlight. Still, the property has some significant issues. Our strict dietary requirements were accommodated for the first two days, but on the final night there was literally nothing on the dinner menu our party could eat. The brochure advertises a fitness center and pool, but neither exists, even though the hotel has been open for 2.5 years. We also had a major miscommunication about which activities were included.
