It was a comfortable room with everything we needed for the night. Lakeside Taupō Motel is in a great spot near the shops, and you can stroll along the main road with views out to the water. One downstairs room had a party that got a bit noisy, but otherwise we really enjoyed the stay and would gladly return.

The two-story unit has been nicely renovated and had everything we needed. Just remember to bring your own linen and towels. It's in a great location across the road from the lake.

We had an awesome time and would definitely go back. The only issues were a single mattress that sagged in the middle and hot water that wasn't hot when we arrived. By the next morning, the water was nice and hot.

It's a great place to stay, close to a swimming area on the lake. The bed was too hard for me, but otherwise I'd highly recommend it.

I was glad to get a room on a Saturday night, but this wouldn't be my first choice in Taupo next time. It was pricier than other places we've stayed in Taupo, which surprised me for an e motel. With no reception, it was confusing to work out where to get the key, and there were no instructions. We nearly knocked on the next room's door before we managed to get ours open. The car park gets very tight when full, especially with a bigger vehicle.
