6 on Adams

We still enjoyed our stay, and the location was great. The room was spacious, good value, and having laundry facilities was handy. But cleaning had been missed in places: there was rubbish, cutlery and bottle caps under the couch, and the tea towel was so stained it looked like a cleaning cloth. The bedrooms on the car park side also got a lot of light from the security lamps at night. Construction next door was noisy, though that wasn't the motel's fault, and staff water blasting early in the morning added to it.

The room was basic but tidy and did the job. There was parking on site, though the spaces were tight, and the motel was sold out when we visited. For the time of year, it felt a little expensive. The room itself was fine, but not somewhere that made me want to spend much time.

Construction noise started early, with metal sawing from 7am, and my room looked out over the construction dump site. I could hear everything, as if there was no sound insulation, and asked to change rooms when I arrived because the room was dirty and not what we expected. The general cleanliness and staff hospitality were very disappointing. For a hotel by Mauau, I expected much better standards and service. At an inflated price, the stay was just disappointing. We will never recommend this place.

We had everything we needed in the apartment, from cooking meals and doing laundry to relaxing by the TV or on the balcony. The staff were wonderful, friendly and really helpful. It’s also close to two beaches, shops, cafes and restaurants. Fantastic accommodation.
