Pacific Coast Lodge and Backpackers

The staff were so nice and kept the whole place really clean. I felt very welcome, and it seems like they understand what backpackers need. I would definitely stay again. The location is great for walking to both the city centre and the beach. I loved the little shelf on each bed that works as a bedside table, even on the top bunks. There are also lots of posters about things happening around town, which I thought was cool.

The people are a cool crowd, and the downstairs area and community are easily the best parts. The hostel is quiet, so sleeping wasn't an issue, but the rooms aren't so great. There's parking out back, locked at night, though there are only five or six spaces. You'd have to be lucky to get one.

I spent 1,5 month here and had a great time. The hostel was clean and well maintained, and I loved the mount and the staff. It's close to the beach and not too far from the bars. A little pricy, but worth it. I really enjoyed my stay, and it'll always have a place in my heart. One thing to improve: the bunks wobble, and only the bottom beds have curtains.
