The back gardens were ideal for team meals and getting together, and having two washers and dryers made it easy to clean and dry all our sports uniforms. It’s a clean, comfortable place with friendly people and easy access to beaches, shops and sports grounds. A great choice for a group sports trip, and I’d bring my teams back again.

Not the easiest spot without a car, it’s a 25 minute walk into Tauranga and an hour and a half to maunganuie, but I’d still stay again. The rooms were clean and spacious, the welcome was warm and check-in easy. They even left milk for morning coffee. Probably the nicest motel I’ve stayed in.

It’s a bit dated, but we liked the old motel feel and would definitely come back. The bed was comfy, the linen very clean and the staff super friendly. It’s dog friendly and close to the centre of Tauranga, which suited us perfectly.

We needed a pet friendly motel at very short notice, and Roselands were so accommodating. They let us check in early to fit our event schedule, then upgraded us so our dog had room on the shared lawn behind the unit. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. We’ll be back, and would definitely recommend this place if you have a little dog or pet. Thanks, Roselands Motel. ♡ The location only gets 4 stars because our event was in Papamoa. For Tauranga, it would be perfect.

We stayed for two nights and thought it was good value. The units are older, but everything was tidy, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. Self check-in was a nice idea, even though you still need to take the form to reception. It meant we didn’t have to worry about that straight away when we arrived. The only real downside for us was the shower pressure, which wasn’t great.
