The Atrium Apartments

For the price, this is the best place to stay in the Mount. The units are clean, tidy, and well equipped, and the staff are very accommodating. You can head straight out the back gate onto Marine Parade.

At around $240 a night, I'd look elsewhere for somewhere cleaner and more consistent, with less of a cheap feel. It was fine, but I wouldn't be eager to return. I wonder if the apartments are owned by a hands-off investor, because the maintenance of things like beds, glassware, and plates feels pretty el-cheapo. The location was great, as expected, though the Mount isn't exactly buzzing in winter. Service was fine too, with no major problems. The apartment itself could use some TLC: a heat pump instead of a tiny Kmart oil heater, fresh glassware that isn't chipped or stained (matching pieces would be nice, and only $29 at Kmart), and rugs without stains that look like they should have been replaced five years ago. The bed was soft, but so worn it felt ready to be thrown out. Outside were plastic chairs like the ones often on special at the Warehouse, not the style or quality I'd expect from a four-star apartment.

The sea views were lovely to wake up to each morning, and we really enjoyed our stay at the Atrium Apartments. Our apartment was clean, tidy, and fully self-contained, with a fridge, washing machine, and dryer. The Mount, beach, spa pools, shops, and restaurants were all within walking distance.

We were two adults and two teens in a clean, spacious two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with ocean views, comfortable beds, and a lovely balcony. The location is spectacular, and it was great value for money. Rose, the duty manager, was amazingly helpful. Two of us became unwell overnight, and she happily let us check out later so we could sleep and feel better. She even asked if there was anything she could do to help. We'll definitely stay here again.
