Carol & Mace made us feel like family, and we loved their two gentle, friendly dogs, Alfie and Lulu. As well-travelled retirees, we found Tuscan Retreat just right for an enjoyable stay. Our room was beautifully appointed, with superior linen and a very comfortable king-size bed.

We felt completely relaxed and really enjoyed spending time with Carol and Mace and their two friendly dogs. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. They even offered pool towels when we went swimming.

The breakfast was wonderful, and everything was clean. We slept comfortably, and there was a chocolate on the bed head each night, a nice little touch. Carole and Mace were exceptional hosts who made us feel welcome and relaxed. We had a wonderful time and would recommend Tuscan retreat. We'd return without hesitation.

We felt right at home, and Carol, Max and their wonderful pets made us very welcome. They put on a first-class breakfast and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The property is beautifully designed, with a Tuscan influence, and sits in a lovely, quiet area. This was the best B & B we've booked to date, on our visit to Papamoa last weekend. Such a shame we couldn't stay longer.

Carole was full of positive energy and very welcoming, even though she'd just had knee surgery. Mace was warm too, and together they run an excellent B&B in a beautiful house. Their restaurant suggestions for the area were much appreciated. I'd highly recommend staying here.
