The water is right across the road, and the view of Kapiti Island made this a superb place to enjoy some quiet time. We stayed over Christmas week and loved it. The host gave us a warm welcome, and the thoughtful extras included a complimentary bottle of bubbly and a nice range of breakfast foods. We were well looked after throughout and got a warm farewell when we left. A wonderful experience, and I'd highly recommend it if you're after somewhere peaceful. Thank you to our hosts, and keep doing what you're doing!

Right by the water in Pukerua Bay, this was a lovely getaway. The room was spacious and really comfortable, with everything we needed. So far, it's the best place we've stayed on the North Island.

The view was really good, and we had a nice stay in a big room with a comfortable bathroom. Our hosts were friendly, though they made it clear they weren't happy that we hadn't told them when we'd arrive. We'd accidentally forgotten, with our 30 other bookings in NZ. Personally, I'd have handled it differently, but the stay was good nonetheless.

The hosts were genuinely lovely and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They even showed us around their stunning upstairs home. We were surprised by all the extras: fruit and wine, breakfast cereals, yogurt, and a good selection of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The room was beautiful and cozy, with everything we needed and more. The beach was just a hop, skip, and jump away, and the views were lovely. It was peaceful and blissful, and really good value for money. We stayed many years ago, I think for our 15th wedding anniversary, and loved everything about it. I'd have liked to make it our regular getaway, but my husband prefers trying different places. One day we'll come back.

We enjoyed a lovely scenic walk nearby. Back in the tidy room, there was an ocean view right out the window, and the hosts were friendly. The large tub was great for relaxing with a glass of bubbly.
