Great views and a beautiful property, with a laid-back feel and a great owner. Charming, quaint, cute, and really neat. They have a Lincoln Continental chauffeur for special occasions. Highly recommend!

A little slice of paradise on the mountainside, looking out over the bay. The rooms were nice, a bit rustic, and had lots and lots of windows. There were several balconies too. If we're back in the area, we'll definitely stay here again.

The views from the bedroom over the bay were magnificent, and on a clear night you could see the stars. The open deck or balcony had an astounding view of the night sky too, and the sunsets were beautiful. The unit was a good size for two, with a queen bed upstairs in a loft-style room. That room gets extremely hot, though a small fan helped a bit. The air conditioning is in the living room, where a third person could sleep on the sofa bed. There was a daily tidy up with tea and coffee refilled, the bin refreshed, and towels folded. I'm not sure if the towels were fresh each day. The clever little cupboard hid the microwave and sink, and cups were on a small shelf under the stairs. There were welcome cookies and a mini jug of milk, plus a kettle and toaster. Mini shampoo and shower gel bottles were included. The dining table had two chairs and an armchair. The bathroom was clean and well kept, with a sink and tap that looked very new. Most things were pretty clean, but the cutlery tray and sofa bed could use a deep clean.

The owners have remarkable wood carvings dotted around the site, so take a little time to look at them. The accommodation is in private, separate cottages strung across the hillside, with spectacular views over the Firth Of Thames, especially at sunset. The hosts were welcoming and the service friendly. There's a pool and BBQ area if the weather cooperates, and I recommend booking direct. The steep concrete drive was fine in a car, but gave me a good workout on my bike. I'll be back.
