Mountain Chalets Motel

There were spiders and dead bugs all over the room. It was dirty, the aircon was broken, and there was mould in the toilets with webs hanging from the ceiling. The aircon and heater kept switching on and off randomly, and the WiFi was poor. I told the receptionist about the bugs; she said she'd spray the room, but she never did. There are no daily cleaners, so I had to go to reception for toilet paper and bin liners and take out the rubbish myself. For what the stay costs, that's ridiculous. When I raised it, the receptionist just said, “I don’t know what happened.” She didn't try to get anyone to clean the room, and didn't even apologise. We had a terrible stay and wouldn't recommend it.

The room was clean, and the note with key instructions made a big difference when I arrived later than planned without contacting the motel. Thank you for looking after me. If I hadn't been able to check in that late, I would have been stuck outside in the dark and cold. I'll definitely stay here again.

We arrived with the correct booking confirmation from booking.com, and the chalet had already been paid for. The woman at reception said there was nothing in her system and told us to leave and sort it out with booking.com. She was so rude, with no help or apology at all. The cabin was small, warm and comfortable, and much better than I'd expected for the low price. It had a lovely mountain view from the kitchen window, and even though it was near the road, it was quiet and peaceful. We couldn't hear traffic or the people in the next cabin, which was a nice surprise. Since the cabins are separate and sound doesn't carry between them, it would be a lovely spot for a romantic getaway. I'd definitely stay again and recommend giving it a chance. I was a little wary because the reviews seemed split between terrible and great, but this turned out to be a lovely place. The WiFi worked fine, the utensils, plates and kettle were clean, and the old kettle still worked well. The TV worked, though there weren't many channels. I didn't see any mould, and the soap dispensers were full. It seems they've paid attention to complaints and fixed things. The bed was clean and comfortable, though firmer than I prefer. My only complaint was finding four suspicious hairs in the bathroom drawers; apart from that, the place was very clean.
