Being right in town made it easy to get around on foot. We only needed one night in Wanaka, and the Bella Vista was a great find. The room was very nice, the bed and especially the linen were comfortable, and we really enjoyed the jetted tub. We’d recommend the Bella Vista to anyone staying in Wanaka.

Room 13 is one to avoid. After 10 pm, I can hear the motel plumbing running through it, with water starting and stopping constantly and pipes clanging. I would have raised this with staff before posting, but I’m only here for one night, the motel is full, and reception is closed. The location is great and the room looks well presented, but now I can see why it may have been the last one available. Choose carefully. I’m off to plug my ears with whatever I can find 🤦♂️

They even brought our luggage up to the room after the airline lost it and returned it to us, which was excellent service. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and being so close to the center of town was a real plus. We’d definitely use Bella Vista again.

We were several hours early and just wanted to leave the car while we went into town. The woman we spoke to checked the list, saw our room was already ready, and let us move in straight away, with the formal check in to follow later. That was a lovely welcome.

Staff were very helpful, and the place was spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a great spot. We really enjoyed staying at Bella Vista Wanaka Motel. Couldn’t have asked for more, and I’d recommend it to other travellers.
