The Wi-Fi was slow and unstable, even though we were across from the facilities and fairly near reception. We've had worse at other sites, though, and we'd happily stay here again. We were surprised by the negative reviews because this was actually the best campground of our three week trip. The smaller facilities building at site 63, where we stayed, was always clean and well looked after. Showers had no timer, and park management was very nice and responsive. We can't comment on the main facilities building, since we didn't use it.

We stayed in the Tiny home and weren't sure what it would be like, but it was awesome. The bedding was crisp and clean, the bed comfortable, and there was split system AC. Our unit was number one. Just be aware people can see into the living area if you leave the blind up, though it didn't really bother me. The other units are a little more private, and ours had a nice big deck out front. The park could use more showers and toilets, but otherwise it was clean and tidy, right in town.

The bathrooms and grounds were spotless, and the tent pitches were roomy and well cared for. We spent a week here and loved being so close to the lake and everything in town. The kitchen was big enough for everyone to make dinner at once, and the instant hot water urn was really handy. The $1 BBQs worked well, too. A couple of things could use attention: none of the toasters worked, and several gas burners wouldn’t light, however much we tried. The kitchen and campsite stayed clean and tidy throughout. We had such a good stay that we didn’t want to leave, and we’ll be back.

The showers were warm and lovely, with no timer, and the kitchen was spacious and clean. There weren’t any utensils and there was only a limited supply of pots and pans. Staff were very helpful, and the campsite is nicely sheltered from the wind, though the ground is hard to pitch on. Booking online is awkward for tent campers since it still asks for a campervan size. Just enter any size.

We didn’t use the facilities, though the site has a large kitchen, TV room, play area and launderette. The showers looked clean and had enough space, but there weren’t any hairdryers in the shower blocks. We stayed three days and would happily return. The lake and town centre are close, with lots of restaurants about a 12-minute walk away.
