The meal up above the peaks was the moment we’ll never forget. We were surrounded by snow-capped mountains, looking toward Mt Cook, when my partner proposed. I said yes, right there on top of the world. Earlier, we’d explored and touched glaciers said to be 500 million years old, which felt ancient, humbling, and awe-inspiring. Penny, Scarlett, Dane, and the whole team at Minaret Station made us feel cared for from the minute we arrived. Every interaction was warm and thoughtful, and the service felt personal. The food was full of flavour and skill, with local ingredients, and it was the best venison we’ve ever had. Thank you for putting together the heli-glacier experience and giving us memories we’ll always treasure. Minaret Station has a special place in our hearts. We’ll be back.

The heli-biking and hikes were a great part of our two nights, with some trails starting right at the lodge and others further away. We were travelling through the South Island for our honeymoon, and Minaret Station ended up being one of the biggest highlights. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, and the service was incredible. The food was delicious, with portions that felt just right. It’s a unique place, and there’s nothing quite like experiencing Minaret Station for yourself. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

I’ve never had a luxury lodge stay as good as this one. Minaret Station is wonderfully remote, with great accommodation, food, and people. A unique experience in NZ.
