The Hidden Spring

A lovely, welcoming little place, and close to town. The room was clean and neat, just the right size for a night, and we had a lovely evening. We’ll be back. The shower did have orange staining from grime and mould, though, and the grounds needed mowing and weeding when we visited. A toilet air freshener or spray would’ve helped too.

We had such a magical Christmas treat here. The garden was lovely, the views were exceptional, and the bed was super comfortable. Thank you!

The unit smelled damp, and there was mould around the shower edges. The floor was bare concrete apart from one small, old rug. There were no cooking facilities beyond a dirty microwave, and no TV or air conditioning. I’d booked five nights but left in under an hour. I was told I’d be refunded, but that never happened. The photos in the listing showed the manager’s room, which looked nothing like the units for rent. Don’t waste your money.

We stayed four nights in the Mountain Suite and loved waking up to that view and having a bath while looking out at it. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, and the room had a cute Airbnb feel. It was well insulated and warm, so we only used the heater now and then. I don’t understand the two negative reviews. You’ll want a car here. We debated renting one or using shuttles, but the location definitely calls for a car. We’ll make this our regular place.
