We stayed in the Royal Suite, and the bedroom and sitting room opened onto surreal mountain and lake views. The property and room were exceptional, with spacious, comfortable beds and perfect pillows. There was a microwave, electric kettle, plenty of coffee and tea sachets, and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi, plenty of towels, and toiletries. We asked for two fans and they brought them promptly. The location is fabulous, right in town, two minutes from the lake and restaurants. I'd stay here again on a future visit to Wanaka. A lock on the toilet door would be a useful improvement.

We had a lovely one-night stay at Wanaka hotel, and the staff were warm and hospitable. A few hours after checking out, we realised we'd left our valuables behind. When we went back, the receptionist kindly helped us get everything back. We're very grateful. I'm sorry I didn't get the lady's name. Thanks again, and have a good one! 😊

The location is right in the middle of town, with plenty of parking. But both of us woke up with sore necks because the pillows were too fat and high. We could also hear the noisy upstairs neighbours showering, zipping their bags, coughing, and walking around, and they kept waking us at night. In the morning, housekeeping knocked four times between 9:30 and 9:50, asking to come in while we were getting our child ready to leave at 10. Would I stay again? Maybe, but I'd bring my own pillow.

We had pretty much everything we wanted for accommodation: a clean, quite spacious garden-view studio with a good-sized bathroom and a comfortable bed. The room heater was already on when we arrived, whether by design or not, and it was nice to walk into. I asked for extra towels and that was no problem. The Asian lady at reception greeted us warmly, though the different receptionist we saw on the way out wasn't as friendly. It didn't change what was otherwise a really enjoyable stay.

Worst night in New Zealand. We booked a double room but got three single beds for a couple. Something, maybe a rodent, was chewing in the wall above my bed. I could hear people in other rooms showering, zipping their bags, coughing, and walking around. I've been awake since about 1 a.m. Not happy.
