Our unit was spacious, with a lovely bed and nice pillows. I've had terrible pillows in most motels I've stayed at, so these were a real pleasure. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. I really appreciated being able to bring my dog. We stayed one night in July 16 and will come back next time we're in Wanganui. Many thanks to the hosts. Regards, Christine

Vicky is such a lovely host, and it's clear she genuinely cares that her guests enjoy their time here. We spent a few days and had a really good time. The unit was tidy and spacious, with Sky TV in one room and a smart TV with Freeview and Netflix in the other. Both beds were super comfortable. There was home baking waiting when we arrived, and we were offered more each day. We'll definitely return next time we're passing through.

I'm currently stuck in a horrible motel in Wellington and wish I were back here. When I stayed in July, the staff were amazing and the room was nice and tidy. Turnover was great, and each morning they left home-made baking after finishing up. Definitely recommend.

It's not a bad place for a weekend, especially in summer when the family can share the outdoor pool. The owners have also opened the business to people who need emergency housing and shelter, which is an amazing thing to do for those less fortunate. I'm sure they benefit financially quite handsomely, though.

Vicky is an extremely generous, warm-hearted owner. There was home baking in my unit when I arrived, then muffins and other treats the next morning for morning tea, which few accommodation operators provide. I enjoyed my stay at Raceway Motel and would stay again if I venture to Whanganui in the future. Cheers, Robert.
