We had a fantastic three-night stay at the Flaxmill Bay Motel and will definitely return. It worked really well for our extended family to get together, with four well-appointed units on one site. We made great use of the covered outdoor area at each unit. The location is excellent, close to a beautiful, quiet white sandy beach and within easy reach of local attractions. The ferry to Whitianga takes five minutes, and its stop is a five-minute walk from the motel. Thanks for a great day!

Our family of five had everything we needed for a beach holiday in this clean, tidy unit. We enjoyed the water views from the deck and the shared BBQ area, and the beach was just a one-minute walk away. We loved staying here and would book again.

We booked all four units after Christmas for a reunion, with grandparents, adult children and teenagers, and it suited everyone easily. The units were clean and well provisioned, and we especially enjoyed eating outdoors together each night. The louvered shelter was welcome when the sun was high, and the lovely beach nearby had wonderful pohutukawa shade for all of us. There’s plenty for every age group to do in the area. We’ve stayed before and can’t wait to return.

This was our third stay, and we still love the location. The beach is close, Cooks Beach is a short walk away, and Whitianga is just a quick ferry ride. The rooms are so well designed, with a well-equipped kitchen and everything you need. We also loved the outdoor space and fire in the evenings with a glass of wine. It’s a perfect place to recharge with family or friends staying in the other units ❤️

The motel rooms are comfortable, clean and practical, with what you need for a relaxing break. The location is amazing, with a beautiful beach less than a minute away on foot. There’s plenty to do in Whitianga, and the ferry is a five-minute walk away. Rates are very reasonable. I’d recommend it for a classic Kiwi holiday!
