We had a great time and would book again when we're back around Whitianga. Merv & Jo were visible during our stay and gave great service. The older two-bedroom unit was clean and well supplied, with good beds and plenty of space. It had lots of Sky channels, though, as far as we could tell, you couldn't stream your own platform like Netflix. We didn't ask, either. There was no aircon, but the efficient electric fans in each bedroom did the job. The price was reasonable, and it's about a three-minute walk to town and ten minutes to The Lost Springs, with food outlets close by. It lives up to its three-star rating and what you'd expect from it. Thanks, guys.

Even without a reservation, we arrived to find the hosts doing their best to arrange a last-minute room for four. They also gave us ideas for things to do and places to see in the city. The whole hotel area was clean and well organized, and especially the spotless rooms made my family and me feel extremely comfortable. We’re truly grateful for their warm, attentive hospitality.

We got help despite not having a reservation, which we appreciated. The people were friendly and trustworthy, and the rooms were clean and practical. Being able to smoke in the garden was a real plus for us. I thought it was great value for the price.

We'd definitely stay here again. The rooms are a good size and really clean, and the hosts were lovely and friendly. It's a very cozy motel right in the heart of Whitianga. There's a pool for summer, and while there's no air-con, the portable fans in each room worked really well.

The location is hard to beat. Walk along Albert St and you'll find food, shops, a bar, a petrol station and four square close by, and Buffalo Beach is walkable too. Service from owners Merv & Joanne Trebes was warm and lovely, they were great hosts. The place was spotless, well maintained, well stocked, and had reliable WIFI; the extra services were convenient when needed. It's classified as a three-star motel, but it felt five-star in every respect to me. Definitely highly recommended!
