The food was bad and the service was among the worst we’ve had. We visited five days ago, Feb 1st-Feb2nd 2026. There were only two families at the camp, but they still didn’t serve a proper dinner or breakfast for what they charged. The cook was Bangladeshi. The camp is only seven minutes from al wasil village, yet they charged us 5Riyals separately for the sandy transfer from the village. Don’t visit, it isn’t worth it. It looks like the pictures, but the food is poor.

The sunsets and sunrises here are amazing. There are lots of activities, including quad and camel rides, plus car trips through the desert. The staff are wonderful and the service is great. The rooms get really warm during the day. There’s a small wind fin in the room, but it doesn’t work very well. Winter nights are very cold, though there is a small heater. The place is amazing!

The staff were lovely and so was the camp, but it felt definitely overpriced. We paid over 170€ and, strangely, were asked for more than the amount shown at booking. The tent was fine for one night in the desert, and we weren’t expecting luxury, but the beds were really hard and the bathroom was in a plastic shell. Compared with another camp we stayed at, SAMA Al Areesh, where we paid 110€ for a much better and more comfortable stay, this one didn’t feel worth the money.

The dessert was a favorite, and the camp was very welcoming for children too. Great owners, friendly staff, comfortable tents, and delicious food made for an amazing experience. Thank you, sand delight camp. I absolutely recommend it.
