Manazil Hotel

I spent a week here on a solo business trip in late October 2025 and found Manazil Aldar Hotel very good value. I rated it 9/10 overall and would definitely stay again when I'm back in Sohar. The location worked well for a longer visit: 3-4 restaurants, a laundry service, and a grocery store were all walkable. Reception staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. On both Friday holidays they called my room around 9:15 AM to remind me breakfast ended at 10 AM. I usually couldn't make breakfast on workdays because of the timing, so those calls meant I didn't miss it on the weekends. My room was spacious and very clean, with a comfortable, cozy bed that was great after long workdays. It had working centralized air conditioning, two cushioned chairs, a round table, a dressing table with a large mirror, an LED television, a mini refrigerator, a coffee kettle, plenty of wall sockets including several multi-pin ones, and large wardrobes. The bathroom was neat and clean, with a bathtub, towels, and toiletries. An office chair would be useful for business travelers, though the setup worked fine as it was. The room was also quiet, with no disturbances from neighbors. Wi-Fi was excellent all week, with no connection problems and more than enough speed for work. The complimentary breakfast was good, with a decent choice. On the two Fridays I ate there, it included wheat bread (Indian paratha) with vegetable curry, foul madames, omelette and boiled eggs, fruit, coffee, milk, tea, juice, water, and breads. There was plenty of dedicated parking both in front of and behind the hotel, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. There's a gym and swimming pool, which I never visited :D Housekeeping was the main downside. The room wasn't cleaned unless I specifically requested it. I prefer minimal interruptions and keep things clean myself, but other guests may not like that policy. The hallway was a bigger concern: once, a neighbor left waste outside their door in the evening, and it stayed until 5 PM the next day, causing a bad smell. I had to call reception to get it removed. I'd suggest cleaning rooms and emptying bins at least every 3 days, and checking the hallways more often. Even with those cleaning issues, the spacious rooms, helpful staff, reliable Wi-Fi, and convenient location make it a solid choice, especially for business travelers who want comfort and good connectivity. I would recommend it and stay again.
