Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel

We ate lunch at the restaurant every day, and it was tasty with several choices. Breakfast was great too, with plenty of options, an egg station and good coffee, which matters when you’re far from anywhere else. The rooms are big and comfortable, and most have direct access to the huge pool in the middle of the property. There’s also a well-equipped gym and lots of places to sit indoors and out. The bathrooms are spacious, with good shower pressure. A hidden gem in the desert, and just what you want for a visit to Oman.

The property feels spacious and is managed well. Our room was clean and well kept, and the atmosphere stayed peaceful and relaxing throughout the visit. It was an impressive, pleasant place to unwind, and I’d recommend Golden Tulip to anyone after a quiet, clean stay.

The gardens and outdoor spaces were a highlight, with flowers, mountains in the distance and a peaceful feel. It was lovely just walking around the well-preserved grounds. The hotel is also very quiet despite being only about a 20-minute drive from the main Nizwa souq and fort. Service was thoughtful from arrival, with everything ready to help us feel comfortable. The two men at reception were very helpful, though I didn’t catch their names. The rooms were decent and comfortable. Breakfast was alright, and the friendly, attentive waiters made it much more enjoyable. I had an excellent stay and would happily return to Nizwa for a peaceful, well-serviced visit.

The hotel is comfortable and well maintained, with spacious rooms, a very good bed and a pool that’s lovely for relaxing. Staff were welcoming and attentive. The restaurant has a breakfast buffet, plus à la carte lunch and dinner; during my stay, the BBQ buffet was very enjoyable. Getting to Nizwa old town and the fort takes around 15-20 minutes by car, so I’d strongly recommend having a rental. Without one, getting around is tricky, and the private driver option is quite expensive. A nice place if you have your own transport.
