We only needed a late arrival and somewhere to sleep, since we had a rental car and were traveling during the day. But the room smelled, was dirty, and the AC was much too noisy. I had a hard time sleeping, though I didn’t want to make a big issue of it. Men might be able to put up with it, but I wouldn’t recommend it for women.

The service was very poor. The AC in the rooms doesn’t cool, and there were complaints with the room doors. I’d rate it minus 1 out of 10.

The rates are very affordable for what you get, and I’d highly recommend Shawamek hotel. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated, and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Everything looked impeccably clean, from the lobby to the room, which matters a lot to me.

I was actually very satisfied for the price I paid. The one-bedroom room was clean, though the furniture and bed should be replaced, and there wasn’t a towel. One receptionist wasn’t friendly, but another was nicer and willing to help. The two-bedroom apartment with a balcony was very spacious, but some areas weren’t clean. There was a kitchen, though not much could be done in it, and only the fridge was useful. The sofa wasn’t straight, and the dresser door wouldn’t stay closed.
