Salalah Royal Hotel Suites

I attended a meeting here, though I didn’t stay at the hotel. The meeting room is on the mezzanine floor and fits about 25 to 30 people. There’s no kitchen of their own, but a buffet lunch or dinner can be arranged with third-party caterers in the adjacent hall. It’s just behind Sultan Qaboos Mosque, with plenty of parking.

After a long flight, I arrived with my family at 2 AM, having booked two nights and called ahead to confirm we’d be coming early. They told me they were fully occupied and wouldn’t give us a room. I then had to search for another hotel at 3 in the morning with my family. Very poor accommodation and unprofessional service. They don’t keep their commitments, and I’d strongly recommend avoiding this cheap place.

A safe, quiet, decent place for either business or personal trips. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel has laundry, food parcel, and taxi services.

The rooms and location are good, but service has been pathetic. I’ve been here three nights with my family, and I’m disappointed. At check-in they agreed to provide two mattresses from the second night, then later said they had none. Breakfast was part of the agreement, but when we arrived the buffet pots were empty. When we raised it, they told us to complain to the manager, who would come in the morning. Even for tissues, we’ve had to call two or three times. Staff say yes, but nothing happens until we go to reception and tell them again. They aren’t cooperative, and don’t follow through on requests.
