Purple Lily Studio Hawana Lagoons Salalah

We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment for four days, booked through Booking.com, overlooking The Island dining and waterfront. That location worked well if you want easy bar access. The resort is immaculate, with plenty of places to eat, shop, and enjoy the beach. A rental car is useful for exploring the eastern and western parts of Salalah. I’m unsure what a transfer from SLL costs, and it’s at least a 30-minute drive to the resort.

The staff were friendly and quick, but the accommodation was awful. Our first night was in an old resort full of insects, with a tiny, unclean room. The next night we moved to their private villa, which was just as bad: bugs and cockroaches everywhere. At least two cockroaches would be on the bed, so sleeping was difficult, and that continued through the rest of our week in Salalah. I went with my family, and we won't be going back. My parents swore they'd rather die than have going there be what kept them alive.

The Ironman 70.3 Salalah weekend here was a great experience. The atmosphere and vibes were great, and wherever you stay, it feels like a winning destination.

I've lived here with my dog for three years, and it's been phenomenal, especially if you're into adventure. The sea is all around, with room to bike, walk, run, or swim. After a busy workday, this quiet, relaxed place is just what I need. I'd recommend it for peace and tranquility.
