It feels like home here. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet part of the city, far from the busy streets. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the Wi-Fi works well, and there's a well-equipped kitchen and fresh coffee every day. The owners are incredibly nice and ready to help. Great if you're driving, though the bus service works well too.
We stayed at Hostal Chocolate for 5 nights, and the staff, a lovely couple, did everything they could for their guests. We arrived a little late from David to Boquete and took a taxi, which shouldn't cost more than $2. We should have got off in Alto Boquete instead of Bouqute, so that was our mistake. The staff drove us to the supermarket for free, waited about 20 minutes, and even gave us a free ride to David at checkout. The flat was very clean and the location quiet. They only spoke Spanish, but Google Translate made that no problem. They have three little dogs, and even though I'm not a dog person, I loved them. I strongly recommend Hostal Chocolate for this price.
The hosts were the nicest people we've ever met! It's a lovely place in Boquete, with a view of the volcano. Best place in town.
