Great people, lots of space, and the beach right out front. All the basics you need are within walking distance. Coolest hostel on the island.

Now called Hostal Caribe, this is a budget hostel with basic rooms and nothing luxurious. It’s a quiet spot on the edge of town, and the service is friendly. The room I stayed in may have needed some improvements. There is air conditioning, though private bathrooms aren’t available in every room. The beach out front wasn’t very inviting to me because I came across a lot of jellyfish. Whether it suits you depends on how much comfort and luxury you’re looking for.
