After arriving in the dark, waking up to that incredible view felt like such a gift. Sebastian was lovely, and the hotel is spectacular. We had a memorable birthday with friends, plenty of fun and nature, plus what felt like our own private beach and an infinity pool. Thank you so much. We’re already looking for an excuse to come back.

We chose the front bungalow and loved how comfortable and private it was. The rooms and bungalows all have fantastic sea views, and there’s a short walk to a secluded beach. Sebastian, the French owner and manager, is a great host, a good cook, and just a really nice guy. He brings a lot of character and charm to the place. We stayed seven nights and found it romantic, secluded, and rustic with a contemporary feel. If you’re after a huge all-inclusive five-star resort with dozens of rooms and staff at your beck and call, this isn’t that. For us, it was much more like paradise.

We loved the style and design, and the rooms were sparkling clean. The view is stunning, too. My girlfriend and I had a great, relaxing time at Camino del sol and felt really well looked after. We can’t wait to return.

The setting is absolutely lovely and the rooms are nice, which makes the experience all the more disappointing. The owner came across as arrogant and rude, with no interest in making our stay a good one. The place had been recommended to us. He’s French and made disparaging comments about Americans to someone in our group, gruffly enough that we all noticed. This was before the election, so I can’t imagine it improving.

A great escape off the beaten track, with stunning views and a friendly, hospitable French owner who’ll chat with you. Just be prepared for possible Instagram wannabes around the pool.
