The area felt a bit scary, with lots of garbage, and I definitely wouldn’t walk around there at night. Our room was okay, but getting in was difficult because no one was at reception to let us in. We also had no hot water, so our showers were cold, and the owner did nothing about it. We stayed through Airbnb and didn’t think it was worth it. Find somewhere else.

The room had recently been redone, with new floors, furniture, and bathroom fixtures. Customer service was good. The area isn’t the best, but it was okay. I rented it through Airbnb for my trip to Panama.

It’s average and does the basic job. The rooms are large and cheap, with AC, working bathrooms and TVs, and friendly staff. Some things feel dated, the decor is minimal, and there were a few minor insect problems. The receptionist doesn’t speak English, and there aren’t many attractions nearby. I’d come back if I had to, but otherwise I’d book somewhere else.

I couldn’t communicate with the receptionist because she didn’t speak English when I called about my brother and his wife, who were staying at the hotel. Receptionists need to understand English.
