Tántalo Hotel

We ate at the restaurant and really liked the atmosphere. The portions were medium sized, more like large tapas, and the food was great. It was quiet when we arrived early, but filled up within an hour. The rooftop bar is also a great spot for city views.

We enjoyed the mojitos, and there was plenty of food in the three-course Christmas Eve dinner. It was a fixed menu with two drinks for $55 per person, though I don't know if they offer that all the time. They also helped us with vegetarian choices. The rooftop bar is cool too.

I live in San Carlos, so we come here often. The staff are friendly, and the rooftop was a lot of fun with good music. Just keep in mind that Panama can be noisy, especially with loud Canadians and North Americans around, though the hotel does provide earplugs. Breakfast was way overpriced. I won't do that again.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food and drink choices were good, and the rooftop view is awesome and worth a visit. I may come back for the restaurant or rooftop, but I'd stay somewhere else. I had originally wanted to book this hotel for my whole trip, but it was already full for part of my visit, so I could only stay a few nights. The room was old and dated. There were gnats inside when I arrived because a window had been left open, and some towels had what looked like makeup stains.
