Hotel Iguanito

The owner arranged a private shuttle for us at a reasonable price, booked a snorkeling trip before we arrived, and suggested a good surfboard rental place. We booked through booking.com, got a good deal, and could pay cash when we arrived. The hotel was very nice and the owners were helpful. The owner is French and speaks Spanish and English. Recommended!

A real food highlight of my trip through Panama. The dishes taste like they’re made with a lot of care, using fresh ingredients and great combinations, and the service is lovely too. If you’re after the best food in town, this is the place. Many thanks, and warm greetings to Juan & criss 🌞

The rooms were clean and just as expected, and we had a fantastic four-night stay while exploring Santa Catalina and Coiba Island. Juan and Chris gave us great advice about activities, made delicious breakfasts, and kept the atmosphere welcoming. We also ate dinner there twice, and both meals were amazing and clearly cooked with care. We’re already trying to come back in January.

The restaurant and bar on the main floor were spotless, and the setting felt like a luxurious treehouse in the jungle. The owner takes real pride in preparing food to be enjoyed properly, and the meals were amazing. It was a fun change for the kids from the same dull options at other restaurants. We also relaxed in the nice upstairs sitting area by the rooms, where bugs weren’t a problem, while waiting for our horses to arrive. We were a family of six with our dog, and rented two rooms for two nights while checking out Santa Catalina. The owners were great, very laid-back, and clearly focused on looking after their guests. They also have a great story.
