The beach is the main draw here: it’s usually quiet, the waves are gentle enough for kids to play, and it isn’t a surfing spot. We’ve visited many times, and while the place was a little better a few years ago, Las Sirenas is still a lovely place to stay. The beachside cabins are right on the sand, which is great. They’re basic and somewhat dated, but clean, with kitchens, cookware, refrigerators, towels, hammocks, and air conditioning in the bedrooms. We also recently found out you can rent a cabin for the day through their “pasadia” option for $84.

The town is only a few minutes away, and there’s a larger resort a short walk down the beach. It doesn’t seem to disturb the quiet around these cozy cabanas. The rooms are clean, the people are friendly, and having a kitchen in the room saves a lot of money. If you’re after peace and quiet with the beach just meters from your door, this place fits.

The beachside cabins are just okay, while the hilltop ones are newer, nicer, and good quality. Since there isn’t anything else in this price range, I’d still give the place a very good rating.
