It was okay. The dorm beds were comfortable, breakfast was fine, and the Wi-Fi worked well. There weren't outlets by the beds, so I had to charge my things at a table across the room. There also wasn't a good shared spot to talk with other travelers. Construction debris by the entrance made the place feel less inviting. Maybe it'll improve over time.

The breakfast was included, but it was awful and they wouldn't give us more than three small rolls and a cup of juice. The staff were unfriendly and kept checking on us. They also tried to charge more than we'd agreed. When we refused, they claimed other guests were coming, but nobody ever showed up. Maybe they got a better offer and spent the night on a park bench.

It's close to the bus for Machu Picchu.

Really nice place!

The hot water was hit or miss, though we all managed to get hot showers in general. Sumaq Wasi was quiet, clean, comfortable, and well located, with fast internet in every room. There was a small snag with our reservation when we arrived, but the staff quickly sorted out rooms for everyone and looked after us during the stay. We had a nice breakfast every morning, including one packed for our early trip up to Machu Picchu. After a wet, cloudy visit, they let us use a spare dorm room to dry off and change while we waited for our train that evening. We really appreciated that. I'd definitely stay again. Thank you! Sumaq Wasi had a lot going for it. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and in a great spot, and the internet was fast in all our rooms. Our reservation had a slight issue on arrival, but staff found rooms for all of us quickly and made sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was nice each morning, and they packed one for our early hike to Machu Picchu. When we returned wet from the cloudy visit, they let us dry and change in a spare room before our evening train. Such a kind gesture, and very much appreciated. Hot water was a bit unreliable, but we all got warm showers overall. I'd happily stay here again. Thank you!
