On San Juan de Dios Street, a few blocks from the main square, the hotel was quiet, clean, and reasonably priced. The street is very commercial, so I expected some noise, but it was peaceful and felt safe. I paid 60 soles for a double room with a private bathroom, hot water, and Netflix. Tea and coffee thermoses were available in the lobby. Mr. José was very kind and helpful. I'd recommend it if you want somewhere nice and affordable near the city center.

I was charged for a room I never used, and when I asked for my money back, they refused. The receptionist had assured me there was Wi-Fi, but there wasn't any. I also found a used condom in the room. Awful service and a total rip-off.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff paid close attention to what guests needed. The owner was especially kind and friendly. It’s also well placed in Arequipa, close to the historic center and markets, with buses that make getting around the city easy. Highly recommend! 😀
