I spent quite a while here, and the place was always clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is available for a small price if you want it. The owner was great for advice about activities and helped me plan my trip to Chachani and the Valley of Volcanos. There’s a relaxed feel, and the common area has fun games. Challenge the owner to Ping-Pong! I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the showers were amazing, with lots of hot water and strong pressure. There’s a sunny garden, a well equipped kitchen, and a great communal area. The host was super friendly, speaks perfect English, and had plenty of useful recommendations. They can also arrange tours. Really great hostel.

We came back to our room and found about 800 soles missing from a book packed at the bottom of a 70L pack. The door had been locked. We’ve been traveling for six months, and this was the dirtiest place we’d stayed in as well. One of our $100 USD bills was also taken, while the $20 and $5 were left behind. It seemed like someone took only part of the money, maybe hoping it wouldn’t be noticed. The hostel was nearly empty apart from us, and whoever did this had a key. Someone close to Christian, or Christian himself, appears to have been fleecing people for a while, judging by the other reviews. We normally wouldn’t leave cash in the room, but we’re heading to Argentina soon and needed to save for USD. Hostel World reviews seem quite different from the Google reviews. Whoever did this is a dog.

Be careful with these owners. We found money missing from a wallet in our private room. Another guest also said money was missing from a wallet kept in a locked locker, and many other reviews here describe the same issue. It seems people booking through Hostelworld somehow aren't targeted, perhaps to keep the rating high.

There were six of us staying for two nights, and the hostel wasn't very clean. We rented a separate room for our luggage after the second night. Later, after withdrawing cash from an ATM, we left our wallets in a locked room and went to the gaming area. Four hours later, when we headed out for lunch, money was missing from three wallets. We then checked our bags and found that $200 was missing too. Our group and the manager were the only people at the hostel. When we spoke to Christian, he blamed us for losing the money and took no responsibility. He returned the cost of our stay after the police got involved. I don't recommend this hostel. If you do stay, keep your money with you all the time.
