It’s a basic place but good value for money. The rooms are mostly clean, and the water is mostly hot. The staff are nice. If you ordered breakfast, it’s best to remind them ahead of time.

Max is a really nice owner, and there’s a cute courtyard and a kitchen. It’s a charming, inexpensive hostal in a great location, 10 to la plaza de las armas.

Maximo is attentive, friendly, and helpful, and there’s a shop nearby. The location is perfect, close to the attractions but not too busy. It’s a traditional, basic Peruvian homestay at a fantastic price. You get what you pay for.
