Tierra Viva Arequipa Plaza

Juan at the front desk was a wonderful host, and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive too. The rooms were nicely appointed, and the rates were very affordable. We had an excellent stay, and I'd happily come back.

Great location, comfortable rooms, and a very good breakfast. The staff were attentive and eager to help.

On this visit, the street noise and doors slamming at all hours kept me from getting a good night's sleep. The shower swung between cold and scalding, with pitiful water pressure, and even the toilet paper quality had dropped. Service and cleaning were excellent, but the hotel's infrastructure no longer measures up. I won't stay here again. My earlier stay, four years before, was great. The location and service were excellent, the rooms were comfortable, and the hot water pressure was great. Every staff member was polite and helpful. It was my favorite hotel in Arequipa, and I said I'd return.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, polite, and helpful. One night, when we were exhausted, they even arranged dinner delivery for us. Our room off the courtyard was clean and tidy, with a very comfortable bed, and opening the windows let in a pleasant breeze. The chocolate on the pillow at turn-down was a lovely touch. The hotel sits in the heart of the old city, within walking distance of the main plaza and plenty to see and do. Breakfast is included, with eggs, sausage, breads, fruit, fresh juices, coffee, and tea. Laundry service is available for a fee. I highly recommend staying here, and suggest asking for a courtyard room because the street-facing ones can be noisy with Peru's busy traffic.
