Yawruna Hostel Arequipa

We arrived in the middle of the night after our bus, but no one answered the bell, door, or phone. We tried for 45 minutes, then went to other hostels, which were full, and ended up paying for a hotel after 3 a.m. We had another night booked, so returned the next day. The woman at reception acted as if we should apologize for not showing up. The place wasn't very clean, and the staff weren't helpful or friendly. They advertise 24-hour reception, but that wasn't our experience.

A good lodging option just a few metres from Arequipa's historic centre, with reasonable prices for families, a good breakfast, and enclosed bedrooms. For younger groups, the shared rooms are very affordable, there's a good atmosphere, and discos are accessible. There's also a kitchen to use and a nice view of Misti from the terrace.

A warm, welcoming place with a comfortable amount of room to spend the evening with friends and listen to good music. The breakfast was good, and the service was excellent.

The architecture is beautiful, and the beds were really comfortable. I only spent one night here, but managed to relax and get some rest. I'm heading to Cusco now and hope I can come back.
