The room itself was clean, but the stay was a bad fit for anyone traveling for work. The WiFi was so slow I couldn't even make a WhatsApp call from the room, and the walls barely blocked sound from the lobby. I could hear everything there, and assume guests in the lobby could hear us too. The air conditioning was another frustration. At check-in they said we could use it for only 20 minutes to cool the room, which wasn't nearly enough for the outside heat. Then at midnight they switched it off, leaving me to wake in a hot room with no way to turn it back on. I don't use AC much, but if a room advertises it, I expect to control it. There wasn't a bottle of water in the room either, so plan to buy one in town. If slow WiFi and a hot night's sleep don't bother you, it might work. I'd suggest management find ways to reduce electricity use without cutting guests off from the AC.

The location is very central, and the service was the best I've had in La Merced. You do get some street noise, though, which comes with staying right in the middle of things.

The hotel is lovely and could be a nice place to rest for a day or two. One drawback is that air conditioning costs extra, when I think it should be part of the room price. The quality of the service also needs to be more consistent between shifts. I hope to come back and find that this has improved.

The room price they quoted us per night was wrong, and when we raised it, the staff refused to take responsibility and threatened to call the police. Communication and service were awful. On top of that, there was no WiFi, the TV was terrible, and the bathroom smelled bad and had no hot water. What upset me most was how unwilling the receptionist was to help. She acted arrogantly and never acknowledged the mistake. I would never stay here again, and I can't recommend it.
