Hotel Hatun Huasi

On our bike trip through Cotahuasi, we stayed here and found everyone very friendly and accommodating. The place is near the main parts of town but remains quiet and peaceful. Rooms are simple, clean and comfortable, with private bathrooms. The water was warm, though I would have liked it hotter. Very recommendable!

Owner Catalina Borda was tremendously helpful when I was arranging day and overnight trips. An Arequipa travel guide had recommended her as the best person to ask for travel information in Valle Cotahuasi, which mattered a lot since information is scarce and there’s no tourist office. The lodge itself is charming and small, right in central Cotahuasi. It’s quiet, the people are friendly, the showers are hot, and breakfast is good.

A real little gem, run by a mother and son. The spot is quiet, and I didn't hear a thing while sleeping. There’s parking, and breakfast was eggs and coffee. I highly recommend it. Steve Australia

I stayed here for three nights in July 2023. The price was reasonable and the place very clean, with the room cleaned daily. Breakfast was included: fresh bread, jam, 2 weeks and a choice of tea or coffee. Mornings were fairly quiet, and there was room to gather and garage the cars overnight.
